I would like to change the very outdated maxim of ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know” to ‘It’s what and who you know that matters.’
Because one of things I have learnt is that having a great network does matter. You can never be an expert in everything so get to know those that are.

You have to work in partnership with those you are working with, particularly with your clients (they know their company better than anyone), trust in each other’s strengths and listen to good advice.
